Folgarida - Marilleva ski resort is located in the central Alps-Brenta Dolomite range, a part of Val di Sole (holder of the 1999 Snowboard World Championships). Both resorts share a modern ski area in traditional surroundings, with skiing and snowboarding available for all levels. In addition, the well-known resort of Madonna di Campiglio is also nearby.
Both Folgarida and Marilleva are traditional mountain resort villages and have a distinct lack of cars, which adds to their appeal. Facilities are good and both villages have a range of shops and offer over 18,000 beds through a range of hotels and apartments. There are dozens of cafés and restaurants, bars and nightclubs, as well as many sporting and cultural events.
Folgarida - Marilleva ski resort has 30 runs over 50kms of beginner to advanced skiable terrain, and the longest run is seven kilometres. There are 24 ski lifts, including five gondolas, 14 chairlifts and five surface/draglifts, with a total lift capacity of 32,600 people per hour. Three schools are on hand with 160 instructors.
For alternative skiing, there are 340kms of runs in total in the Val di Sole ski region, with the other resorts linked by bus or ski lift. The two most impressive areas are Madonna di Campiglio and Passo Tonale, while Male is the main village in the valley and offers interesting sightseeing.
The ski season at Folgarida - Marilleva ski resort runs from December to April, with cheaper deals offered at the beginning and towards the end of the season. The most convenient way to get to the resort is to fly to Verona and take the direct Skibus.
