Getting to Alpine, USA for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Alpine Mountain ski resort is located in the Pocono Mountains, 135kms northwest of New York City, and is directly accessible by car only. Options for getting here include: flying to nearby Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport or a New York area airport and hiring a car; a combination of rail travel to Stroudsburg and shuttle bus; or self-drive.

Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport is the closest major airport to Alpine Mountain and has a regular domestic flight timetable, and also boasts direct links with London (Heathrow). Shuttles are available for transfer to the resort, but having your own car gives you the opportunity to explore the lovely Pocono region.

By car from the airport, head north on I-81 to exit 186, from where I-380 goes southeast to junction 3; from there, highways 940, 191, Timber Hill road and highway 447 go to the resort. If you are coming from New York by road, head northwest along I-280 and I-80 to Stroudsburg, from where highway 447 goes to Alpine Mountain (two hours).

You can also get to the Poconos region by Greyhound or Martz Trailways buses, arriving from New York and Scranton; while trains run to Stroudsburg and Scranton.
