Getting to Aspen Highlands, USA for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Located in the Rocky Mountains of western Colorado, Aspen Highlands ski resort is 250kms southwest of Denver and five kilometres from Aspen town. The resort is directly accessible by road only, and the easiest option is to fly to Aspen Pitkin Airport and transfer by local bus and free bus to Aspen Highlands. Alternatively, self-drive from Denver is straightforward.

The nearest major airport is Denver International and there are daily scheduled flights from Heathrow via Chicago or Minneapolis and direct flights from across the US. Aspen is a four-hour shuttle bus ride from Denver. Alternatively, Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, six kilometres northwest of town, receives daily flights from United Express, America West and Northwest Airlines; while nearby Eagle County Airport is another option.

By road from Denver, take I-70 west to Glenwood Springs, then highway 82 south to Aspen. Aspen Highlands is five kilometres outside the town of Aspen, next door to Buttermilk, and on the road towards Snowmass.

You can also get part way by train, with an Amtrak service running to nearby Glenwood Springs, from where buses go the rest of the way. The daily train leaves Denver at 08:20 and arrives in Glenwood Springs at 14:08. By bus from Denver, Supershuttle and Colorado Mountain Express run to Aspen Highlands, with the latter company also providing transport from Eagle County Airport.
