Located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Beaver Creek ski resort is 170kms west of Denver and not far from the famed resort of Vail. There are two travel options: self-drive, or a combination of flying and road transportation. As Beaver Creek is very near I-70, driving is straightforward; however, journeys can be long. Flying to Eagle County or Denver airports and taking a shuttle bus is a lot easier.
Denver International Airport will be the main choice for overseas travellers, with many flights from the UK routed through Chicago. You can also fly on to nearby Eagle County Regional Airport (west of Beaver Creek) narrowing transfer times. Shuttles and taxis run from both airports to Beaver Creek.
By car from Denver International Airport, take Pena boulevard to I-70 and head west to exit 167 for Avon. Follow the signs (south) from here to Beaver Creek. From Eagle Airport, head east along I-70 for Beaver Creek. Denver is served via the (east-west) Baltimore I-70 and the (north-south) I-25.
The Colorado Mountain Express shuttle runs from Denver International Airport and Eagle County Airport to Beaver Creek throughout the day. A complimentary shuttle runs from anywhere within Beaver Creek between 06:00 and 02:00 and also runs to Vail, for $3.
