Getting to Bjursas, Sweden for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Bjursas is situated in central Sweden and is 250kms from the next major city, Stockholm. The nearest town to the resort is Falun, which has a train station and regular bus service to the resort just 20kms away. The most convenient way to get to Bjursas is by flying to Stockholm and either hiring a vehicle or boarding a train for the two-hour journey to Falun. Alternatively, take an exciting train journey all the way from the UK via a Channel crossing to Sweden.

The nearest international airport is in Stockholm, 250kms from Bjursas. Fly to Stockholm from the UK and catch a train service from there to Falun, just two hours north. Alternatively, drive the 250kms straight to the resort in a hire car by traveling north to Falun and on to the resort.

By car, Bjursas is 554kms from Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK; the journey time is 13 hours, 30 minutes. From Newcastle-upon-Tyne, catch the ferry over to Hirtshals in Denmark and follow the signs to the E20 and on to Falun in Sweden. From there, head towards the resort of Bjursas. If flying to Stockholm, the resort is around three hours to the north on the E04 motorway, the 279 road and by following signs to Falun and the resort.

By train, there are various options, including Eurostar travel via Brussels to Sweden. However, the following option has the fewest connections and can be booked with DFDS Seaways for all travel to Gothenburg by train from London. Take the train from London to Newcastle and board the DFDS ferry traveling to Gothenburg. From Gothenburg, take a train to Falun and connect with a bus service to Bjursas.
