Brixen Im Thale / Wilder Kaiser is one of the most easily accessed ski regions in Austria. It has its own train station which provides convenient links to the three surrounding air transportation hubs of Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich.
Three international airports service the region: Innsbruck (80kms), Salzburg (102kms) and Munich (130kms). All have convenient bus and train connections to Brixen, but Munich has the most varied flight schedule.
By road, take the A12 (Inn Valley Autobahn) junction 17 to Worgl, then follow route 170 to Brixen Im Thale. Total distance from Calais is around 1,050kms, with an extensive system of motorways affording fast and safe access to the region.
By train from London’s Waterloo station, take the Eurostar to Paris Nord, transfer to Paris Lyon and take the TGV to Geneva. From there, take the InterCity to Zurich, then the EuroNight to Worgl, and finally the Salzach Sprinter to Brixen Im Thale.
There is a regular free Skibus service connecting Brixen with the other eight ski resort villages in the valley.
