A train service is available from the UK, but it is a long journey involving many connections as well as a ferry crossing. Most package deals to the resort will facilitate travel arrangements.
The nearest international airport to Bydalen is in Stockholm, 550kms south of the resort. The nearest airport with flights available from the UK is in Östersund, 50kms west of Bydalen. The flights travel via Stockholm and on to Östersund. From here, you can hire a car to travel to the resort, or catch a daily bus to Bydalen.
By car to Bydalen, the journey is around 530kms and 14 hours from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, involving a ferry across to Hirtshals in Denmark before proceeding on to Gothenburg in Sweden. From there, travel north following the signs to Jämtland and the resort itself. If you choose to fly and hire a car, then the resort is 550kms north of Stockholm or 50kms from Östersund via the E14 and the 321.Then you can follow the signs to the resort.
By train, there are various options, including Eurostar travel via Brussels to Sweden. However, the following option has the fewest connections and can be booked with DFDS Seaways for all travel to Gothenburg by train from London. Take the train from London to Newcastle and board the DFDS ferry travelling to Gothenburg. From Gothenburg, take a train to Östersund and connect with a bus service or hire a car to Bydalen.
