For those not on a package holiday (transfer usually included), there are hourly trains, via Lausanne and, or, Montreux to Chateaux-d’Oex (two hours, 20 minutes). From Cointrin Airport, take the A-1 and A-9 (Lake Geneva motorway), exit onto highway 11, and then follow the signs for Chateaux-d’Oex ski resort (140kms/1 hour, 30 minutes).

By train, perhaps the most convenient connection from London to Chateaux-d’Oex is the 08:12 Eurostar departure for Paris (Nord) involving three changes and a 10 hour journey. From Paris (Nord) take the Metro to gare de Lyon from where the Lausanne -bound TGV departs at 13:04 and arrives at 16:52. From here, change to the 17:00 Montreux-bound interregional (20 minutes).

The last change is the high-speed Chateaux-d’Oex-bound train, leaving Montreux at 18:26, and arriving at Chateaux-d’Oex ski resort an hour later. There is a choice of timings on the return journey.
