Located southeast of Zürich in the southern part of Switzerland, Davos ski resort can be reached by road and rail, and travellers have the option of flying to Zürich and taking a train, or hiring a car; international rail travel from London; or self drive. The most practical and quickest way to get here is to fly to Zürich and hire a car.
The nearest international airport is Zürich International Airport which receives both scheduled and charter flights from all over the world. Trains leave the airport throughout the day and terminate at Landquart, from where you need to take the Rhaetian (single gauge railway) to Davos. The journey by rail is about three hours or two hours by hire car.
From Calais, the most direct self-drive route goes via Reims/Metz/ Strasbourg/Basel and Zürich, and then carries on along the A-3, and route 28 from Landquart. From Zürich International Airport, drive south along the A-11 motorway, through the city and across the river heading for the A-3 to Chur. From the Landquart/Davos exit the road passes through Kublis and Klosters before arriving at Davos-Platz.
By train, a Eurostar leaves London (Waterloo) at 17:09 and arrives in Paris (Nord) at 20:59. Walk, or take the Metro, to the gare de l'Est from where a daily overnight train leaves for Landquart at 22:42, arriving the next morning at 07:40. Change at Landquart for Klosters and Davos, leaving Landquart at 08:45 and arriving in Davos at 09:53.
