Getting to Jackson Hole, USA for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Jackson Hole Mountain ski resort is situated just to the south of Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks in the west of Wyoming, and is best reached by flying to Jackson Hole Airport and taking public transport. Self-drive is feasible, but due to Jackson’s remoteness, is fairly time consuming.

The nearest major airport is Salt Lake International, while Jackson Hole Airport receives daily flights with four major carriers: American, United, Northwest and Delta, from Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago and Minneapolis, among others. Five companies provide taxi services and airport shuttles to Jackson and Teton Village.

By car from Salt Lake City, take I-15 and highway 89 north to Logan, from where highway 89 links up with highway 26 at Alpine and heads towards Jackson. About five kilometres before Jackson, take highway 22 northwest and then highway 390 north to the resort (445kms; six hours). The Stillson parking lot offers free parking before the resort, and free open-air shuttles run to and from Teton Village.

For bus travel to Teton Village from Jackson, START buses run frequently all day through to 22:00 for a small fee, while Jackson Hole Express provides a daily shuttle service to and from Jackson Hole, Idaho Falls, Pocatello and Salt Lake City.
