Killington ski resort is located in the west of Vermont, 180kms northwest of Manchester (New Hampshire), and is directly accessible by road only. The easiest way to get here is to fly to Burlington International Airport and take a shuttle bus transfer, while a combination of train and bus is also feasible, as is self-driving.
The nearest major airport is Burlington International, accessible from across the US, Canada and from the UK. Shuttle buses are available for transfer to Killington resort. Alternatively, by road, take southbound I-89 to Waterbury and exit on to highway 100; cross the junction of highways 4 and 100 and continue on Killington road to the resort (140kms; two hours). Alternative airports are at Albany (New York) and Manchester (New Hampshire), and flights also go to nearby Rutland Airport from Burlington.
By road from Boston and Manchester, follow I-93 to junction 11 (near Concord), exiting on to I-89 to Hartford, from where highway 4 and W Hill road/Killington road go to the Killington resort (260kms; three hours). From New York, take I-87 north to Albany, highway 7 north to Rutland, and highway 4 and Killington road to the resort (425kms; five hours).
By train, there is a daily service available on Amtrak’s Ethan Allen Express from New York City to Rutland, with bus service to Killington from there. Killington Shuttle Bus runs within the resort.
