Kirchberg is located in the Alps near to Kitzbühel ski resort in the province of Tyrol. The most popular arrival point is Munich, although Innsbruck and Salzburg are also popular. While train service is available, many prefer the drive from Munich in a rental car. If coming from London, other options involve driving, or taking the Eurostar train and several convenient connections.
Salzburg is the nearest international airport with transfers to the city; trains go at least every hour to Kitzbühel and then on to Kirchberg ski resort (three hours total). Buses also go from Salzburg train station and are quicker than the trains. More flexibility in flying to Munich, coupled with the scenic drive to Kirchberg, is an attractive option for many.
Travelling by car is also a good option, with excellent motorways approaching the resort from all directions. Calais is 1,100kms from Kirchberg ski resort and Vienna is 380kms (four hours) to the east. If driving from Munich's FJ Strauss Airport, head south towards the city and the bypass on the A-99. From the bypass, take the A-8, A-93 and A-12 south, then take the B-312 and B-70 to the resort.
Eurostar trains go daily from London's Waterloo station at 17:09. Change trains in Paris for the overnighter to Munich, which leaves from gare de l'Est and arrives in Munich the next morning. From Munich, Eurocity trains go to Innsbruck five times a day (three hours), and several trains go on to Kirchberg throughout the day. Roundtrip tickets are about €52 from Munich, €38 from Salzburg, and €22 from Innsbruck.
