Getting to Madonna di Campiglio, Italy for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Located in the Brenta Dolomites, 175kms north of Verona, Madonna di Campiglio ski resort is directly accessible by road only, but is straightforward to get to. A flight to Bolzano Airport, with car hire or Skibus transfer, offers the quickest travel option; while self-drive, and long distance rail travel are also popular.

The nearest major international airport is Verona Airport and there are regular trains to Trento, from where buses go to Madonna di Campiglio. Bolzano Airport (near Madonna) receives direct flights from London and regular flights from Italy’s main airports. Transfer from Bolzano Airport is usually by Skibus and car hire is also available.

By road, Madonna di Campiglio is 215kms northeast of Milan and 1,000kms southeast of Paris. If you’re driving from the UK, the fastest route from Calais goes via Reims, Metz, Strasbourg, Basel, Zürich and Landquart. From Landquart, several minor roads go through Bormio, Ponte di Legno and Dimaro before landing at Madonna di Campiglio (1,175kms; 12 to 13 hours).

By rail from the UK, there is a regular Eurostar service from London’s Waterloo station to Paris (gare du Nord). An overnight express train then runs to Milan, and then regional trains go to Trento. Buses from there run to Madonna di Campiglio ski resort on a regular schedule.
