Mission Ridge ski resort is 230kms east of Seattle in the Wenatchee National Forest in central Washington, and is best accessed by driving or flying to Seattle or Spokane and taking a shuttle bus to Wenatchee, from where free transportation goes to the resort.
Pangborn Memorial Airport in Wenatchee receives limited traffic from international airports in the region, while Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is the nearest international airport and receives direct flights from the UK and Europe, as well as an array of domestic traffic. Spokane International Airport, to the east, is another alternative.
By road from Seattle Airport, follow highway 518 and I-405 north to I-90 east and continue to exit 85, from where highways 970 and 97 lead into the Wenatchee National Forest. Turn right on to Sand Creek road and follow the signs for Mission Ridge (240kms; three to four hours).
From Spokane by car, head west along I-90 to exit 106, from where highway 97 leads to Sand Creek road, as above (five hours; 390kms). Coming from Wenatchee town, head south down highway 711 and turn right on to Beehive road for the resort.
Trains also run to Wenatchee from Seattle three times a day, taking just under four hours. Alternatively, there are also two services a day from Spokane in the morning and afternoon, taking 3 hours, 30 minutes. Greyhound Lines buses run to Wenatchee from both Seattle and Spokane.
