Mont Blanc ski resort is located at the southern edge of the world class Mont Tremblant resort region and just an hour north of Montréal. Most visitors will fly to Montréal and transfer by coach; while the excellent network of interstate highways from the US also makes self-drive popular.
Montréal-Dorval International Airport receives flights from all over the world as well as an array of domestic services from the likes of Québec City, Toronto and Vancouver. Coaches are available for transfer to and from Mont Blanc or, if you hire a car, take route 13 north towards Boisbriand, head east on route 640, and then north on routes 15 and 117 (110kms; 1 hour, 30 minutes).
By road from Toronto, take highways 401 and 40 northeast into Montréal, from where route 15 heads north towards Sainte-Agathe, and then route 117 north to Saint-Faustin (640kms; seven hours). If travelling from New York, take I-87 north to the Québec border, and then take route 15 through Montréal towards Sainte-Agathe, as above (720kms; seven to eight hours).
If you fly to Toronto and want to travel up by train, there are five departures per day to Montréal, including a night train. There is also a service from New York to Montréal, daily, leaving from Penn station at 08:15 and arriving in Montréal at 18:30.
A cheaper, yet more uncomfortable alternative is to take the bus. There are eight Greyhound departures per day from Toronto, as well as frequent services from Ottawa and Québec City. Local buses run from Montréal bus and train station to Saint-Faustin and Mont Blanc.
