Monte-Sainte-Anne ski resort is located 50kms to the northeast of Québec City, near the Charlevoix region of Québec, and is only directly accessible by road. Most travellers fly to Québec City and take a shuttle or hire a car for the transfer, but long distance trains and buses are also a feasible way of getting to Québec from other Canadian and US cities.
Jean Lesage International Airport, 15kms west of the city centre, is the nearest airport to Mont-Sainte-Anne, and receives flights from across Canada and the US, as well as direct UK services. Buses and taxis are available for transfer to the resort, or if you hire a car, route 138 runs alongside the airport to Beaupre, from where route 360 heads for Mont Sainte Anne (60kms; one hour).
By road from Montréal, take highway 20 to Québec City, from where routes 138 and 360 run to Mont Sainte Anne (300kms; three to four hours). From Ottawa, it’s a 500-kilometre journey via highways 417 and 40, and Montréal. Coming from Toronto, Mont Sainte Anne is over a day’s drive via highway 401 and Montréal. From New York, use I-87 and route 15 to Montréal.
At least four trains run between Montréal and Québec City daily, taking three hours. Trains also run from Ottawa and Toronto, and there is a daily service from Washington, DC and New York, via Montréal.
Greyhound buses run from New York or Boston to Québec City, via Montréal. Orléans Express buses run between Montréal and Québec City almost every hour on the hour from 07:00 to 01:00. The bus line also links Québec City to the rest of Québec province, with connections to the rest of Canada.
From mid-November to late March, the HiverExpress winter shuttle program transports passengers from various hotels in the city to Mont-Sainte-Anne.
