Getting to Mont Tremblant, Canada for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Eastern Canada’s biggest ski resort is located 120kms northwest of Montréal, in the Laurentian Mountains, and is directly accessible by road only. Montréal is served by three international airports, highways and transcontinental trains and buses, and the most popular form of travel is to fly to Dorval Airport and take a bus or taxi transfer.

National and international flights from Canada, the continental United States and the UK arrive at Dorval Airport - the nearest airport to Mont Tremblant; Mirabel International Airport has daily charter flights. By limousine/taxi, the resort is a one-hour journey. By hire car, go north of Montréal via autoroute 15 and route 117 north. After Saint-Jovite, turn right on to Montee Ryan for the resort.

By road from Ottawa, the 170-kilometre/two-hour journey goes via routes 50 and 148 to Montebello and route 323 to Saint-Jovite, from where Montee Ryan leads to Mont Tremblant. From New York, follow I-87/autoroute 15 all the way to Montréal and through to Sainte-Agathe, from where the 117 and Montee Ryan go to the resort (750kms; nine hours).

Amtrak has one train a day to Montréal from Washington, DC and New York that makes intermediate stops and takes between 10 and 12 hours. Frequent services arrive in Montréal from Toronto, Ottawa and Québec City throughout the day, including night trains.

By bus, the Voyageur Company operates buses between Montréal’s main terminal and all parts of Québec, including Mont Tremblant; buses run between Toronto and Montréal in less than seven hours. From Boston or New York, there is a daily bus service to Montréal on Greyhound, and local buses also run to Mont Tremblant.
