Getting to Monte Bondone, Italy for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Monte Bondone is located 15kms southwest of Trento in the Trentino province and is fairly straightforward to get to. The quickest way here is to fly to Verona and take a train/bus combination transfer, or hire a car. Rail travel from other European countries is fast and efficient, while self-drive is made easy by the good motorway network, although journeys can be long.

The nearest international airport is Verona Airport, accessible via the A-22 autopista. This is the most convenient airport, but Milan-Linate Airport has more flight options. Trains run from near both airports to Trento, from where buses go to Monte Bondone ski resort. If you hire a car at Milan-Linate Airport, take the A-4 and A-22 to Trento and follow the signs along the SP-85 (230kms; three hours).

By car, Monte Bondone is fairly remote from other European countries, but is well connected to the European motorway network via the (A-22) Modena-Innsbruck autopista. The best route from Calais uses tolled motorways, but is the fastest option, going via Reims, Metz, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Ulm, Innsbruck, Bolzano and Trento. From Trento, head west on the SS45 and the SP85 for Monte Bondone (1,250kms; 13 to 14 hours).

There are direct trains to Milan and Verona from Paris. From Verona, the Brennero railway has regular departures for Trento, from where you can then take a bus to Monte Bondone. If you’re coming from the UK, Eurostar trains leave from Waterloo station in London for Paris, gare du Nord, taking just under four hours.
