Mount Snow ski resort is located in the south of Vermont, 365kms northwest of New York City, and is easily reached by flying to Albany County Airport in New York State and taking a shuttle bus. If you’re self-driving and already in New England, Mount Snow is quite accessible due to the proximity of I-91; while rail will get you to within 40kms.
The nearest major airport is Albany’s County Airport in neighbouring New York State; it receives numerous domestic and international flights and carriers, including those from many UK airports. Various shuttle bus companies have transfers to and from Mount Snow resort.
If you’re travelling by hire car, Mount Snow is accessible by taking routes 7 and 9 to Wilmington, from where route 100 goes to the resort (two hours). By road from New York and the south, take I-95 and I-91 north to Brattleboro, from where route 9 goes west to Wilmington and route 100 goes north to Mount Snow (four hours). From Montreal, follow I-89 and I-91 south to Brattleboro, as above.
By train, the Amtrak Brattleboro-bound train (New York-Montréal) leaves New York’s Penn station at 10:30 and arrives at 15:55. By bus, Adventure Northeast bus service provides direct service from New York City to Mount Snow ski resort. Vermont Transit and Greyhound provide service to nearby Brattleboro; roundtrip shuttles to Mount Snow are available on request.
