Obertauern ski resort is located south of the provincial capital of Salzburg and there are a number of ways to get here. The most convenient option is to fly to Salzburg and take a shuttle to the resort. Another option is to take the train all the way from London, with several connections, or drive.
The nearest international airport is Salzburg, which receives scheduled and charter carriers from across Europe, as well as from a number of worldwide destinations. From the airport, shuttles go to Obertauern ski resort. Alternatively, transfer to the city and take a bus to the resort, or take the train as far as Radstadt, from where buses go to Obertauern. If flying into Munich, take a train to Salzburg and change for Radstadt.
By car, the journey from Calais is 1,200kms along major, tolled motorways; however, you should allow two days to get to Obertauern. From Salzburg International Airport, take the A-10 (Salzburg) autobahn south, exiting on to the B-99 (east) at junction 63.
You can travel by train from London as far as Radstadt station, south of Salzburg, where a bus or taxi will take you to Obertauern. The daily Eurostar leaves London's Waterloo Station at 17:09 for Paris's gare du Nord. From the nearby gare de l'Est, an overnight train goes to Munich, from where regular Eurocity trains go to Salzburg. Make your final change here for services to Radstadt.
