Situated only 80kms west of Turin, near the French border, Sauze d' Oulx ski resort is straightforward to get to, with an international airport nearby; while international rail travel and self-drive are also popular. The most practical way to get to Sauze d'Oulx is to fly to Turin and transfer by train/bus combination, or bus all the way.
The nearest airport is Turin-Casselle Airport, 90kms to the east and just north of Turin. There is a rail terminal here with regular trains going via Turin, to Oulx (near Sauze d' Oulx). Buses and taxis carry on to the resort. By car, take the A-32 west and the SS-24 south from Oulx. Alternative airports are Milan-Malpensa and Geneva-Cointrin.
The A-32/E-70 autostrada is only 10kms from Sauze d' Oulx and is part of the European motorway network, making self-drive easier. Milan is 220kms and Paris and Munich are both 700kms away. From Calais, the quickest route goes via Reims, Dijon, Lyon, Chambery and Oulx, via the Frejus Tunnel. The SS-24 and SP-124 go to Sauze d'Oulx (1,000kms; 9 to 10 hours).
There is a convenient overnight train service, as well as day trains, from Paris to Turin, from where a regional train carries on to Oulx. If coming from London, regular Eurostar trains connect with Paris and take about four hours. Once in Oulx, take a bus or taxi to Sauze d' Oulx.
Eurolines buses arrive in Turin from several European cities, and local services connect with Oulx and go on to Sauze d'Oulx. This is the cheapest travel option.
