Ski Cooper is situated in the centre of Colorado, 175kms southwest Denver and south of Vail, and is straightforward to get to by road due to its proximity to a major highway and interstate. For convenience, the best way here is to fly to Denver International Airport or Eagle County Regional Airport and transfer by shuttle bus.
Denver International is the nearest major airport and receives major carriers from destinations nationwide and from overseas cities, including London. Several shuttle bus firms run a regular schedule to and from Ski Cooper ski resort. For added convenience, Eagle County Regional Airport is even closer to Ski Cooper, with flights arriving here from Denver and other regional airports.
Shuttles also run from here, while the one-hour, 90-kilometre drive goes east along I-70 to Minturn at exit 171, from where highway 24 leads southeast for Leadville. Turn left on to Cooper Loop road, 15kms before Leadville, for Ski Cooper. By car from Denver International Airport, take Pena boulevard to I-70 west and exit at 195, from where highway 91 goes to Leadville. Turn right on to highway 24 just before Leadville for the resort (215kms; 2 hours, 30 minutes).
Denver lies at the junction of the major (east-west) I-70 from Baltimore and the (north-south) I-25, and receives both Amtrak trains from major US cities as well as Greyhound Lines buses.
