Getting to Snowbird, USA for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Snowbird ski resort is located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, 40kms to the southeast of Salt Lake City, and is best reached by flying to Salt Lake and transferring by shuttle bus, or UTA light rail and bus from downtown. Travelling to Salt Lake by rail and road is also feasible.

Salt Lake City International Airport is accessible from all over the US and Canada and there are direct flights from the UK and around the world with a multitude of carriers. Several shuttle bus operations serve Snowbird ski resort from the airport, and the UTA light rail and UTA bus service run to the resort from downtown Salt Lake City.

By car from the airport, take I-80 east and I-215 south and exit on to highway 190 south (Wasatch blvd). About 10kms from the I-215 junction, take highway 210 (Little Cotton Canyon road) and follow the signs to the resort. Salt Lake City lies on the east-west (New York-San Francisco) I-80 and the north-south (Alberta-Los Angeles) I-15.

By rail, Amtrak's California Zephyr stops in Salt Lake City at 04:00 daily (coming from the west coast). There is also a service from Chicago that arrives at midnight. Greyhound buses are the cheapest travel option and arrive in Salt Lake from various major cities in the US and run throughout the state of Utah.
