Getting to Soldeu-El-Tarter, Andorra for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Located in the north of Andorra in the state of Canillo, Soldeu and El-Tarter are only accessible by road but there are a number of travel options. The most convenient and practical option is to fly to either Toulouse, or Barcelona, and hire a car. For the budget traveller, there is a bus service from each airport. Self-driving is popular, and trains from London come to within 30kms of the resorts.

Toulouse-Blagnac Airport is the closest international airport with transfers by scheduled bus, or a taxi-rail-bus combination. Barcelona’s El Prat de Llobregat airport has more flight options with the same choice of transfer (trains go from the airport). There are two Novatel buses from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport per day, and four from El Prat Airport (€33, one way; €62, return). Car hire is the quickest option.

By car from Calais, Soldeu-El-Tarter ski resort is 1,160kms and a two-day drive, going via Paris, Orléans and Toulouse. From Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, drive along the A-64, E-9, and CG2 (185kms, three hours). From El Prat de Llobregat Airport take the A-18, C-1411, E-09, E-9, and the CG2 (210kms, three hours).

The nearest train station to Soldeu-El-Tarter is L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre, 29kms away from the resorts. Buses from here go to Andorra’s capital, La Vella, with a stop at Soldeu. Trains from Barcelona go as far as Puigcerdà station (Spain) from where buses also go to Soldeu. From Waterloo station in London, the 17:09 Paris-bound Eurostar goes to Gare du Nord station. From the nearby Gare d’Austerlitz station an overnighter goes to L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre, arriving at 07:25.
