Getting to Toggenburg, Switzerland for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Toggenburg is close to the Liechtenstein principality, with access to the resort involving air, rail and road travel or a combination of the three. The easiest and most practical way to get here is to fly to Zürich and connect by rail and road to the resort. Alternatively, you can travel to Paris on the Eurostar, change to the night train to Zürich and again transfer by rail and road. You’ll find travel arrangements are often prearranged when booking a package deal.

The international airport at Zürich is the closest to the resort at only 1 hour, 30 minutes travel time. From there, board the train travelling to Wil, then change for Wil-Nesslau and reach the resort from there by bus. If hiring a vehicle from the airport, take the road travelling through Winterthur, Wil, Wattwil, and on to Wildhaus.

By car, Toggenburg is 536kms from Calais with a travel time of nine hours; the toll roads cost €13. The journey takes you through France and across Switzerland. If you’re flying to Zürich and hiring a vehicle, travel by road is relatively straight-forward via Winterthur, Wil and Wattwil to the resort at Wildhaus.

By train, catch the four-hour Eurostar service from London Waterloo or Ashford in Kent to Paris. Then connect with the overnight train travelling to Zürich in Switzerland; the journey takes 7 hours, 30 minutes. From Zürich, catch the train to Wil, then to Wil-Nesslau and from there take a bus to the resort at Wildhaus.
