Getting to Vallee Bleue, USA for your Skiing and Snowboarding Holiday

Located 100kms northwest of Montréal in the Laurentian Mountains, Vallee Bleue ski resort is only directly accessible by road and is best accessed by flying to Montréal-Dorval Airport and transferring by taxi, or a bus. Montréal is well served by road and rail and is straightforward to get to from other Canadian and US cities.

Dorval International Airport in Montréal is the most common point of entry by air and receives numerous flights from across Canada, the US and the UK. The easiest transfer option is to take a taxi/limousine to Vallee Bleue (it is possible to share these taxis). If you hire a car, head out of Montréal on autoroute 15 and exit on to route 117 at junction 76; follow the signs to Vallee.

If you’re self-driving from Ottawa, take routes 50, 317, 321, 323 to Saint-Jovite, from where route 117 will take you to Vallee Bleue (190kms; three hours). The resort is accessible from Toronto by taking autoroute 401 to Montréal and routes 115 and 117; while from New York, follow I-87 and autoroute 15 to Montréal, and then take route 117 to the resort.

Montréal is regularly served by VIA Canada trains, including night trains. There is one Amtrak train a day to Montréal from Washington, DC and New York, with numerous stops.

Voyageur buses run from all over Québec to Montréal, including Sainte-Agathe (near Vallee Bleue); while Greyhound buses run between Toronto and Montréal, and from Boston and New York to Montréal.
