Canyons ski resort is located 50kms to the east of Salt Lake City and only a few kilometres from Park City. The easiest way here is to fly direct to Salt Lake City and transfer by shuttle bus or car. Self-drive and rail travel from other US cities can involve long travel times, but is usually straightforward.
Salt Lake City International Airport is a major hub and receives flights from all over the world as well as those from over 70 US cities. Shuttle buses and taxis are available for transfer to Canyons resort; by car, take I-80 east to exit 145, from where highway 224 goes to Park City.
Salt Lake City is straightforward to get to by road if you’re self-driving and lies on the (north-south) I-15 - from the Canadian border, through Salt Lake City, to Los Angeles. Access from the west and San Francisco is provided by I-80, which runs on to Chicago and New York City.
If you are in Los Angeles and prefer travelling by train, the Amtrak California Zephyr service arrives in Salt Lake City at 04:00 daily, and there is also a service available from Chicago, arriving at midnight.
Greyhound Lines bus service offers the cheapest form of travel from within the US, although it is arduous and somewhat uncomfortable; there are two daily runs to Salt Lake City from San Francisco, and three from Chicago.
