Ski and Snowboarding Information for Arabba, Italy

Situated in Italy’s Belluno province, in the eastern Alpine range, Arabba ski resort has great skiing and snowboarding and excellent facilities. There are 50kms of pistes particularly suited to those at an intermediate level, while alternative skiing is available on the Marmolada - the Dolomites’ highest peak.

The village itself has a wonderful setting amid spectacular mountain scenery and is situated at 1,600m above sea level. Arabba is a historical village and has all the modern facilities of a purpose-built resort. Lodgings are provided in hotels, pensions and chalets/apartments and there are more than 3,500 beds on offer.

The skiing in Arabba consists of over 50kms of runs, 25 per cent of which are geared towards beginners, 55 per cent to intermediates and 20 per cent to advanced/expert skiers. These pistes are accessible via a system of 27 lifts of various types. For cross-country fans, there are two kilometres of trails through gorgeous scenery.

Hiking, ice-skating (natural), ice-hockey, indoor swimming and a sauna are among other winter activities and facilities. For night-time entertainment, there is an array of cafés and restaurants and a scattering of bars and discos.

The December to May ski season at Arabba ski resort has ideal snow conditions in February and cheaper weeks at the beginning and end of the season.
The most practical way to get to Arabba is to fly to Venice-Marco Polo Airport and take a train to Belluno. Buses go to and from Arabba and Belluno throughout the day.
