Ski and Snowboarding Information for Beaver Creek, USA

Beaver Creek ski resort is located to the west of Denver in the Rockies and, together with its charming village, is one of the most attractive resorts in the US. The terrain is wide and diverse and the grooming immaculate; while snowboarders have three excellent terrain parks and a half-pipe.

The charming and atmospheric village of Beaver Creek is loaded with ski/sports shops, boutiques and art galleries, and offers an array of facilities for non-skiers. Accommodation is expensive in Beaver Creek but there are thousands of beds available in scores of condos and hotels; the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa is one of the top hotels in the world and has superb spa facilities.

There are 109 slopes at Beaver Creek resort, which are divided into 34 per cent for beginners, 39 per cent for intermediates and 27 per cent for advanced and expert snowboarders and skiers. The longest slope is 4.5kms and all are impeccably groomed. Eleven lifts have an hourly capacity of nearly 26,000 people.

Other extensive activities and facilities at Beaver Creek ski resort include: ice-skating, dog-sledding, sleigh riding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, tobogganing, tubing, hot air ballooning and ice-fishing. You’ll also find three comprehensive spa facilities and many art galleries; while après-ski consists of upmarket restaurants, on and off-piste, as well as several bars.

The November to April ski season at Beaver Creek has its best natural snow in February and cheaper weeks in late November and early April. Discounts are available for the young and old. A combination of flying to nearby Eagle County Regional Airport or Denver International Airport and transferring by shuttle bus is your most practical travel option for getting to the Beaver Creek resort.
