Ski and Snowboarding Information for Combloux, France

Combloux ski resort is situated in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps and offers the skier and snowboarder 90kms of fantastic beginner to expert runs in spectacular surroundings, with lovely panoramas of Mont Blanc and the Arly Valley.

Combloux is a pretty mountain village with an authentic atmosphere and attractive traditional architecture. There is a wide range of accommodation in hotels, chalets and self catering apartments and the village restaurants are known for their delicious French fare. Shopping and banking facilities, as well as child care, are available here.

There are 90kms of pisted runs at the Combloux ski resort, with 35 separate slopes divided into nine runs suited for beginners; 18 for intermediates; 27, advanced; and six black runs for expert skiers and snowboarders. There are 15 draglifts; nine chairlifts; and a gondola, with an uplift capacity for 22,500, while the longest run is three kilometres.

There is also a wide range of non-skiing activities, including: an ice-skating rink; curling; scenic snowshoe trails and hiking, among many other activities. In addition, there is a sports centre; two health and beauty centres; saunas; hot tubs; Jacuzzi; and Turkish baths. Hotels, restaurants and a handful of bars provide nightly entertainment.

The December to April ski season at Combloux has its best snow, like many other Alpine resorts, in February, while cheaper weeks are on offer pre-Christmas holidays, mid-January and mid-March.

There are a number of ways to get to Combloux ski resort, the most popular of which is to fly to Geneva and take a bus to the resort from the city. Trains also go to the city centre, from where other trains go to Sallanches. At Sallanches, you can take buses and taxis to the resort.
