Jackson Hole Mountain is located in the west of Wyoming and is known for its powder riding and quality advanced terrain. Snowboarders have access to all slopes, as well as the excellent terrain park with its slope-style features and super-pipe. Jackson Hole ski resort also boasts no-rope-out-of-bounds, allowing amazing off-resort riding.
Teton Village is the resort base and provides all necessary facilities and accommodation. There are childcare facilities here, as well as an excellent ski school, first-aid and even a post office; while accommodation is in a variety of modest slope-side condos and the upmarket Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole. Lodgings is also offered in Jackson.
The 76 slopes at Jackson Hole Mountain consist of a lot of intermediate cruising and difficult advanced terrain. The runs are divided into 10 per cent for beginners, 40 per cent for intermediates, 45 per cent for advanced sliders and five per cent for experts. Ten lifts provide access, and the longest slope is a whopping 11.5kms. There's also a terrain park and super-pipe for riders, and unlimited beautiful cross-country trails.
In case you tire of the pistes, there is also sleigh riding, dog-sledding, ice-skating, mountaineering, snowcat riding, snowmobiling and indoor tennis. Teton Village has several top class eateries and bars; while Jackson has more of a choice of shopping and après-ski.
The December to April ski season at Jackson Hole Mountain ski resort has its best natural conditions throughout February and high season rates over the Christmas holidays.
Flying to the likes of Denver or Chicago and taking an internal flight to Jackson Hole Airport is the preferred method of transport to Jackson Mountain resort. Various shuttle bus and taxi firms run from the airport to Jackson and Teton Village.
