Ski and Snowboarding Information for Le Massif, Canada

Located to the northeast of Québec City, Le Massif ski resort is known for its commanding views of the St Lawrence River, steep runs, state-of-the-art facilities, and abundant snowfalls. Thirty-six fantastic pistes run down a huge vertical and two excellent terrain parks are available for snowboarders.

Although there is no accommodation at the resort, comfortable chalets, hotel complexes, cosy inns, friendly bed-and-breakfasts and quality private residences are all within a short driving distance. The resort itself has modern boutiques and ski sports shops as well as childcare facilities.

Of Le Massif’s 36 runs, 18 per cent are for beginners, 39 per cent for intermediates, 22 per cent advanced and 21 per cent for experts. Snowboarders are permitted to use all pistes and also have the terrain parks. All slopes are accessed by five lift systems. In addition to the pistes, there are 60kms of cross-country trails.

Apart from the skiing and snowboarding, other activities and facilities include spas, saunas, massages, pressure therapy, balneotherapy, algotherapy, among other relaxing treatments. There are also telemark and sit-ski lessons available. Après-ski is limited at the resort, but nearby Baie-Sainte-Paul is a fairly lively town and Québec City is only an hour away.

The best snow conditions of the November to April ski season at Le Massif ski resort are in February and 60 per cent of the field is covered by snow machines. The most practical travel option for getting to Le Massif is to fly to Québec-Jean Lesage International Airport and take the ski bus, or hire a car.
