Ski and Snowboarding Information for Limone Piemonte, Italy

One of the oldest ski resorts in Italy, Limone Piemonte has superb skiing on its 90kms of slopes which are popular with beginner to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Situated in the Maritime Alps, near the French border, Limone Piemonte is only 60kms from the Mediterranean and is popular with all ages.

Limone Piemonte is a bustling town with a large number of facilities and shops and boasts some charming old buildings. Typically Mediterranean with an Italian flair, Limone has an abundance of lodgings, mainly in hotels and apartments, with 15,000 beds on offer.

The skiing and snowboarding pistes at Limone Piemonte extend for 90kms across 46 runs, with 13 per cent of runs suited to beginners, 69 per cent for intermediates and 18 per cent for those at an advanced or expert level. The longest run is six kilometres. There are 29 lifts, with a capacity for 29,000 people per hour. Additionally, there are six kilometres of cross-country skiing trails.

For non-skiers, snowboarders and après-skiers, there is paragliding, ice-skating and swimming, among with other activities. For those who are into less-demanding activities, Limone Piemonte also has plenty of boutiques and art galleries, cinemas, a concert hall and piano bars, as well as dozens of restaurants and bars.

The December to April ski season at Limone Piemonte has good snow conditions all season, owing to its cannons, with ideal conditions in February. Special rates are available around mid-December and April.

The most practical way to get to Limone Piemonte ski resort is to fly to Turin or Nice and take a train or bus transfer from the airports to the resort; Turin generally offers more convenient transfer options.
