Located just north of Montréal, family-friendly Mont Olympia ski resort is part of the Saint-Sauveur ski region and is set in the outstanding Sauveur Valley. There are 23 pistes spread across the board from novice to expert terrain, as well as a terrain park for boarders.
Mont Olympia has everything you will need for your day on the slopes, with a quality ski school, ski boutique and repair shop and large cafeteria. Accommodation is limited, but nearby Saint-Sauveur has a range of hotels, cottages and bed-and-breakfasts.
Mont Olympia’s 23 runs are divided into 52 per cent for beginners, 22 per cent for intermediates, 13 per cent for advanced sliders and 13 per cent for experts. There are six lift systems that are able to carry 8,000 people per hour and operate over all slopes, the longest of which is 1.375kms. Additionally, Mont Olympia shares 20kms of Nordic trails.
Other non-skiing activities and facilities include night skiing and the terrain park, and the hotel has excellent spa facilities. Après-ski is provided by the restaurant and bar at Mont Olympia, while Saint-Sauveur offers a host of entertainment from its many restaurants, bars and bistros.
The December to April ski season has its best natural conditions in February, with much of the ski field guaranteed with artificial snow throughout the season. The most practical travel option for getting to Mont Olympia is to fly to Montréal and take the ski bus to Saint-Sauveur, from where buses and taxis go to the resort.
