Ski and Snowboarding Information for Sauze d' Oulx, Italy

Conveniently close to Turin and near the French border, in the southwestern Alps, Sauze d' Oulx is a well known Italian ski resort and offers pleasant snowboarding and skiing over 120kms of terrain. A lively resort, Sauze d'Oulx also has access to another 280kms of pistes in the linked Milky Way ski region.

With 16th century Italian architecture and excellent facilities including a huge range of shops, Sauze d'Oulx is a great ski resort village and is especially vibrant. There are 2,000 beds in both old and new style accommodation, in hotels, chalets and apartments.

Sauze d’ Oulx ski resort boasts 120kms of pistes over 74 runs, with 29 per cent suitable for beginners, 50 per cent for intermediates and 21 per cent for advanced and expert snowboarders and skiers. Twenty-two lifts have a capacity for 24,000 people per hour and the longest run is 12kms. In addition, there are 15kms of cross-country trails.

A snow park for snowboarders is also featured at Sauze d' Oulx, and other winter activities and facilities include: ice-skating (artificial); heli-skiing; hiking; ski touring; snowshoeing and skidooing. There is also a sauna, bowling and billiards, while the nightlife is lively due to the many good restaurants and range of bars and discos.

The December to April ski season at Sauze d' Oulx ski resort has fantastic snow conditions in February and cheaper rates in mid-December and April.

Sauze d' Oulx is most easily accessed by flying to Turin-Casselle Airport and taking a train and bus combination transfer to the resort or bus all the way. For added convenience, hiring a car is a lot quicker and gives the opportunity to explore the region.
