Ski and Snowboarding Information for Solda Trafoi, Italy

Located high up in the Ort les-Cevedale mountain range of the Stelvio National Park, northern Italy, Solda - Trafoi ski resort has 50kms of varied snowboard and ski terrain, and spectacular views.

Enveloped by huge mountains and sitting 15kms apart, Solda and Trafoi are two small villages that make up the resort and are characterised by their traditional architecture and lively evenings. Over 2,000 beds in chalets and hotels provide the accommodation. Solda - Trafoi also has three excellent ski schools with facilities for children.

There are 50kms of prepared slopes that are divided into 30 per cent for beginners, 60 per cent for intermediates and 10 per cent for advanced snowboarders and skiers. Seventeen lifts service all pistes and, in addition to the pisted runs, there are 18kms of cross-country runs.

For non-skiers or for those who prefer a break from the slopes, there are a handful of leisure activities and facilities at Solda - Trafoi, including natural ice-skating, tobogganing and indoor swimming. The après-ski theme is one of a choice of restaurants, on and off the mountain, and bars and cafés.

The November to April ski season at Solda - Trafoi has good snow conditions throughout, particularly in February.

Flying to Bolzano and transferring by train/bus combination, via Merano, or bus all the way, is the most practical way to get to Solda - Trafoi ski resort. If coming from afar, flying to Milan and hiring a car is also convenient.
